Big hint: it's not fabric.
Planning for some new white pieces in your summer wardrobe? Here's a handy selection of summer dresses and tops; all of which are lovely and elegant and feature a chic little marbled pattern:
Wait, though, they're actually all CARVED FROM MARBLE, the work of Scottish sculptor Alasdair Thomson.
His "Identity Collection," a series of six sculptures, explores "the way fabric hangs and folds, and is attempting to capture that lightness and gracefulness in stone." They're incredible, and you'd be forgiven for picking them off the rack in a clothing store, at least if they weren't too heavy to carry. See more of his work below; it's incredible:
Thomson has previously also sculpted more clothes, folded, a few pairs of shoes, and even some cantles (the fastening, normally cast in metal) for traditional Scottish sporrans. Amazing!
